For over four decades, the Cuyahoga Falls Historical Society has served as the memory of our community. Since our founding in 1980, we’ve been the stewards of the stories, artifacts, and milestones that have shaped Cuyahoga Falls from its settlement in 1812 to the vibrant city it is today.
Today, we are thrilled to announce a major milestone in our own history: the launch of our brand-new website!
Preserving the Past, Embracing the Future
Our mission has always been to collect, protect, and share the treasures of our history. Whether it’s the evolution of the manufacturing plants that made us a 19th-century powerhouse or the natural beauty of the “crooked river” that gave us our name, these stories deserve to be told.
While our museum at 2083 Cook Street remains the physical heart of our society, our new digital home allows us to reach even further. Our new website is designed to be a resource for everyone—from lifelong residents and local students to genealogists tracing their family roots in Summit County.

Join the Celebration
A community’s history is only as strong as the people who cherish it. We want to thank our volunteers, donors, and members who have made this new digital era possible.
Take a look around the new site, share your favorite “Cuyahoga Falls fact” with a neighbor, and help us keep our heritage alive for generations to come.
